Celebrate World Heart Day with us on Sunday 29 September by wearing something red and joining us for our Love Your Heart sponsored walk and family fun event at Tredegar’s lovely Parc Bryn Bach. You’ll find a sponsorship form here.
The event starts at 10am outside the visitor centre and our family-friendly walk route will take you around the lake on a 2km loop. You can choose to do either one, two or three circuits (so 2km, 4km or 6km in total), and along the way you’ll find a heart-themed quiz trail for the kids. Children taking part in the quiz (£4 each if unsponsored) will receive a prize and glitter face painting. And when you finish your walk, make sure you get a selfie at our balloon arch and share it on your socials!
We’ll be selling tickets in our Love Your Heart Prize Draw as well, with the draw taking place immediately after the walk. So stick around to see if you are one of our lucky winners! Tickets cost £1 each and there are some great prizes, including a bespoke portrait of your pet, a £100 Amazon gift voucher, and a Bollinger Champagne presentation set signed by rugby star Dan Biggar.
And if you haven’t been to Parc Bryn Bach before, you’re in for a treat. The path around the lake is paved, fully accessible and mostly flat, and if you want to go further afield there are 340 acres of meadows and woodlands to explore, with nature walks and an interactive sculpture trail.
There’s an onsite cafe, too, along with a kids’ play area, WCs and plenty of parking. A guaranteed great day out!
