Our classes

Our circuit-based classes are specially designed to be safe, effective and fun. The 1-hour sessions cater for all physical abilities, with activities tailored to meet your individual needs.

Cardiac rehab works!

If you have a heart or circulatory condition, regular cardiac rehab exercise is one of the best things you can do to stay healthy. We make it easy with weekly classes across North Gwent.

Join our classes and stay fit for life

If you’re living with a heart condition, regular cardiac rehab exercise is one of the best things you can do to manage your heart health.

You may have had hospital treatment for a heart attack, undergone cardiac surgery, or had stents or a pacemaker fitted. Or you may be living with angina, heart failure, or atrial fibrillation (sometimes known as AF, or irregular heartbeat).

Whatever your problem, we can help you regain your strength and confidence through safe and effective physical exercise, so you can enjoy as full a life as possible and get back to doing the things you love.

Around 44% of adults in Wales are not meeting physical activity recommendations.

6 great reasons to join!

1. Expert instructors

Our exercise instructors are all fully qualified through the BACPR, the gold-standard for cardiac rehab. So you can be sure you’re exercising safely under expert supervision.

2. Choice of days and times

Choose from 10 classes a week at 8 different locations across North Monmouthshire and Blaenau Gwent. You can attend as many per week as you like for as long as you want. Many of our members have been coming to classes for more than a decade!

3. From just £5 per class

We subsidise the cost of classes, so members pay just £5 per class (plus £10 annual membership fee). Non members pay £6 per class.

4. Partners welcome

We welcome partners, other family members or friends at our classes. In fact making a commitment to exercise together can work really well, as you can motivate each other. But to take part, they’ll need their GP’s consent.

5. Annual Health Assessment

You can also choose to have an annual Health Assessment, which will help you monitor your progress, and keep you on track with fitness, weight management and other important heart-health goals.

6. More than just exercise

Living with a heart condition can have a big physical and emotional impact. And at our friendly classes you’ll be with people who understand. Many members say how important this social support is to their recovery and ongoing wellbeing.
