Our fundraising team

We know our members enjoy the social side of our classes as much as the exercise, so our fundraising team work hard to fill our calendar with fun events that get everyone involved – from our springtime Potato Growing Challenge, to coffee mornings, craft workshops and our Christmas Market.

That said, we’re always keen to hear fresh ideas, and we love it when people take the initiative and organise their own fundraisers, such as bake sales, charity car washes and dress-down days at work.

If you’re planning a bigger sponsored challenge – a marathon or trek, say, or a sponsored skydive, we’ll do our very best to support you with local publicity. Just tell us your plans by emailing info@cardiac-rehab.org.uk.

The team meets on the second Tuesday of each month and happily welcomes fresh ideas – and new faces. If you’d like to come along to a meeting to find out more, we’d love to meet you! Email info@cardiac-rehab.org.uk for details.

Suzanne Indge

Suzanne worked for the NHS as a Cardiac Rehab Nurse Specialist for many years before retiring in 2022. One of the charity’s stalwart supporters she’s been involved with our work for more than 20 years.

Andrea Davies

Andrea is a former social worker, specialising in supporting people with special needs. As a long-time friend of our founder Jacky Miles, getting involved with the charity was inevitable! Andrea’s been a member of the fundraising committee since 2015 and is a familiar face at all our events.

Kathy Cleveland

Kathy joined us in 1999, after her husband Allen suffered a heart attack. Allen is now one of our two Class Assistants, and Kathy performs a myriad roles under the banner of membership secretary, keeping us all on track with her expert admin and organisational skills.

Nigel Dancer

Nigel joined our classes in 2014, following a cardiac event. He’s now one of our valued Trustees, using his business skills to our benefit.

Denise Dancer

As Nigel’s partner, Denise provides support and keeps us all laughing. A new member of the Fundraising Committee, she loves gardening and was very disappointed when she didn’t win a prize in the 2022 Potato Challenge!

Ashella Indge

Formerly a fashion buyer, Ashella retrained as a primary school teacher. As a busy mum, she’s our much-valued link with a younger audience, bringing fresh fundraising ideas to the table.
